I am an Ivy League graduate with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania. Following college I received a J.D. from Fordham University Law School, where I was a Notes & Articles Editor for the Fordham Law Review.
After graduating Fordham I joined Weil, Gotshal and Manges as an associate in the Private Equity group. The work was cutting-edge and intellectually challenging, but ultimately I decided to take off a few years to raise my three daughters. Once my youngest was in school I returned to the workforce as Counsel in a Family Office in New York City.
From the time I was young I had a passion for editing and storytelling. Knowing this, my friends and family would ask me to edit their personal essays. I loved the challenge and the ability to help my friends find their passions and tell their stories. My friends and family began to recommend me to their friends and family, and, after a decade of experience and success, I launched the Elevated Essay and have committed myself to essay advising on a full-time basis.
I love brainstorming, reducing stress, finding a typo, sushi, spinning, and texts from students telling me, with many exclamation points, that they got into their dream college or graduate program.
